Hope was hit on his helmet in the third ODI against Bangladesh but looked at his sublime best in the first T20I between the sides in Sylhet, hitting 55 off 23 balls with the help of 3 fours and 6 sixes to help the visitors take a 1-0 lead. But the win was set up by Sheldon Cottrell's aggressive bowling that saw him finish with a four-wicket haul.

"Yes, there was a plan (to bowl short) and I'm glad that it helped," Cottrell says. "I think I'm experienced enough (to deal with rustiness). Looks a good pitch, Shakib showed that runs can be scored. Oshane Thomas bowling at 90mph put pressure on the batsmen and that made things easier for me. Not an easy pitch to start on but I think we can pull this off."
